That's cool. Maybe I'll try taking up chess.

Re: text cutting backwards
I have this problem with my small stand-alone laser engraver and also if I'm using the rotary. If I'm using the X position it works fine, however, if I'm using the Y position it will be mirrored. It's all in the setup of the processor you using. Since I haven't screwed around trying to figure out th...

Thought I'd try my hand at the AI using Bing Copilot Designer and the Google Tiled ZoeDepth program. This is the results. I upgraded to Rhino 8 from Rhino 6, which is a ton a differences and I'm still trying to learn the massive stuff, but been playing with the Bas Relief in it. So far Aspire has wo...

I think if you provided a little more detail, more people would respond.

Re: Centering
In Aspire, in the job setup, put the xy datum position to center. Hopefully that will solve you export problems.

Here's a couple I did a few years ago. The Angel is about 3-feet tall and the Mermaid is about 4-foot tall.

Re: Double-sided carve coming out offset
I've mentioned this many times before that I've done hundreds of double-sided cuts. When I first started I did the dowels as mentioned in the tutorials. Because my spoil board has a zillion cuts and I kept screwing up where to set the dowels, I decided to use a jig, which is basically attaching a bo...

The detail on the center of flower is so amazing. Not sure how you did that. Looks outstanding!
Second that.

Re: Double sided job
As mentioned when importing, center the object. It will have both sides above and below the level plane. After you hit "position and import", check the box "Create both sides", then adjust how much overcut you want past center. THERE IS NO NEED TO COPY TO OTHER SIDE AFTER IMPORT.

Had no idea about the copilot until you mentioned it. I couldn't find something I was looking for the other day, and just tried the copilot and it gave me a whole bunch of new options.

Re: Modelling question
Phil,
Sometimes it's best, or at least easier to use a different modeling software. I was just guessing at the size, but I did this in Rhino which took about 5-minutes. If you can give me the size, I can do a more actuate model and sent it to you.
