Something like this? Note: this is un-tried and just off the top of my head:

Code: Select all

MY_Z_HOME = 0.125

…

G0[MY_Z_HOME]
DOESN'T WORK NOT ONLY UN-TRIED BUT COMPLETELY WRONG

substitute constants for variables in post processor

I need to have Z-axis always return to a constant [ZH] position G00.125 after each cut procedure. What is the proper syntax to assign a constant to the [ZH] variable so this will happen?
[ZH] = 0.125 ??????????????
"[ZH] = 0.125" ?????????????
OR
?????????

Re: Does VCarvePRO have any maximum limit of toolpathes?

Have you tried to assign a new layer to each element. perhaps that will help divide up the load.

Re: Tools Database

I also would like to be able to use engraving tools that have a 30degree, 60 degree etc angle with a flat diameter bottom for example the Amanda In-Groove CNC Insert Engraving Tool which I would use for very small detail work. So any improvements in the tool profile functions would be greatly apprec...

Check for vectors to be correct and closed 4. Set up tool I plan on using - including feed-rates 5. generate tool paths ...

Re: VCarve and Photo VCarve

Another question on the same topic. How many grey scale values can PVC understand??? All 256???

Next does PVC divide the cut depth by the number of grey scale values in the image to get the depth per gray scale value???

With this information we should be able to control the depth of cut.
thanks

Re: CNC SHARK PRO PROBLEM

Michael;
You mentioned a 70% feed rate how does that translate into either the control panel slow, medium or what In/sec do you set up in the VCP software?? Say for a 1/4" ball nose cutter.
thanks

Re: Can the CNCSharkPro use dxf files bought commercially?

Hi; I also am new to the world of CNC with a shark pro system. The solution to your problem is to install the VCarvePro 5.0 software then import the dxf file into VCP. After that set the material size, orientation etc. Be sure to download the post processor files from nextwave automation place those...
