Great...thanks for the input guys. Is just as I thought.

Thanks again,
Mike

Re: Shaking and Jerking
On this machine, I have NSK rails and bearings. Do you guys have the same setup and if so, how often do you guys lubricate your bearings? What do you use?...Lithium Grease? do you have grease zirks or do you surface apply to the rails? I greased the rails last night in hopes that it would decrease s...

Re: Shaking and Jerking
Hi Angie, This machine is a Blurry Customs Ironman....and it lives up to its name. It is built like a tank. Two layers of .25" steel on both sides of the gantry. Everything else is either single layer of .25" steel. I will reduce speed and see how it works. I am using 2 flute Whiteside bits for almo...

Re: Shaking and Jerking
Hi Angie, Thank you for the quick reply. I will chang the cv distance tolerance from 180 to 1.....and angles greater than 45 rather than 0. I am running a a variable speed Bosch 1617, 2.25hp. I am usually running it on speed 5 out of 6 which I'd about 21,500rpm. I use alot of cherry and hard maple. ...

Re: Chatter
Thanks for the replies Adrian and Leo, Crazy part about this whole thing is, the ball screw nuts are tight. I checked the angle that the balls screw nut screws into....all tight. I do not place side tension or deflection on the bit at all....or very limited at best. The bit is seated within the prec...

Re: Shaking and Jerking
Hi Angie, Quick question for you.....I have the same sort of problem. Smooth when running x and y but when I transition into a radius or diagonal cut I get a chatter or not smooth cut just on the radius or the diagonal cut. I talked to manufacturer today and he suggested that I check the ball screws...

Chatter
Greetings all, I hope this is a simple question...I am having an issue with either diagonal or radius cuts transitioning either into or out of a vertical or horizontal or vise versa. I am having a slight bit of vibrations only at those times....any other time, it cuts like glass with no chatter at a...

Re: Overlapping font or images....steps to success?
Thanks Mike...great idea. It seems as though there arent to many other steps that I can delete from the process. Looks like I will have to have at least three tool paths at a minimum. Do I have to copy the two layers to a seperate layer and then weld them together on that layer?...Make sense? I will...

Overlapping font or images....steps to success?
Greetings all, Let me try and see if I can put the visual in everyones head without being to wordy. I have been doing simple signs with overlapping fonts at two different depths with a pocket around the entire perimeter of both the combination of the top layer and the bottom layer. I will try to exp...

Re: And yet another LED edge-lit project
Hi Dave,
Great project. Can you explain a bit on where you get your LED's from to include info on the wall wart or transformer you used. There are as many LED's out there as there are snow flakes on the ground at present....lol.
Any info would be appreciated. Thank you in advance,
Mike

Re: Missed day 1 of Advent Calendar.
Hi Stu....it was indeed the pop up blocker....I had it locked down tighter than a drum. It would indeed allow for the initial file to pop up but would allow a secondary site to pop up and allow for the zip file link. Thanks again for the reminder...I thought I had checked it already....but must have...
