Re: Pocket Toolpath

I cant seem to find a way to take a picture of my 2d drawing.
Windows has a built-in snipping tool for taking screenshots and saving the image to a file.
The file can be uploaded as an attachment to the Vectric forum.

You can export your vectors as DXF.

What problem are you trying to solve by converting G code to DXF?

Re: create new 3 d model

Using the Guitar Fretboard gadget may simplify things for you.

Documentation is in a zip file.

It was written for V9.5 but works with V11.5 too.

Re: Svg file source

I assume you are looking for good quality vector files, and not specifically SVG format.

The Vector Art Mega Collection has high quality vectors that are suitable for CNC work.

Consider using the moulding toolpath instead of a gadget.

Re: File Size

The flat depth is set to 0.001" so it will only carve 1/1000" of an inch deep. I doubt that is what the original poster wants.

Turn off the flat depth and I believe you will get a significantly different toolpath and machine time.

Re: Help With 3d Modeling a New Job

Here is how another person runs 8 table legs at a time: I just set up a 2 rail sweep to match the width of the 8 leg blanks.(plus a minor over run) Set blocks on the table to push the blanks against for registration. If the file is too large to upload here you can use a file sharing site such as drive.google.com, onedrive.com, or dropbox.com. They all have free accounts available
  • Upload the file to the file sharing site
  • Make the link shareable
  • Share the link to the file here
