Re: Using the 4th axis as an indexer
This allows actually seeing the design. It is a somewhat clunky procedure since the model not being toolpathed needs to be turned off and the actual finished piece is still a bit of a "leap of faith". I agree. I too have had to think long and hard on double-sided indexer projects where the Z-zero i...

ColorCore Sign
The material is King ColorCore: 24"x23"X0.25", white over blue.
The section "Weather Forecasting Stone" was carved with a dull V-bit and left lots of fuzzies. The rest was carve with spiral upcut O flute bits (0.0625, 0.125, 0.25) and carved very well. This will be an outdoor sign.

Re: V12 Keep-Out Zones
If you have a clamp in the lower left, then it might be better to have XY home be in the center of the project. FYI, at the end of the file my machine, rather than going to XY home, returns to the machine park position which is Z at max machine height and XY is 3/4ths of the way to the back, towards...

Re: Machining a hexagonal head with fourth axis
Another method is to use the moulding toolpath with a Vector that is an "unwrapped" version of the hex head. You can either calculate the geometry, or find a tool that will generate the unwrapped vector.
The example below is in VCarve 11.5

Re: Fun Topic: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Syntax
Be aware that the Large Language Model (LLM) systems are non-deterministic. That means that you can give it the exact same input that you have used before, but get a different result. i.e. that magic words that were used before may yield different results later.

I'm not seeing the issue.
Can you post some screen shots (<Shift><Windows Key><S> to take a screenshot)
What toolpath are you using?
