Re: Fun Topic: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Syntax

Be aware that the Large Language Model (LLM) systems are non-deterministic. That means that you can give it the exact same input that you have used before, but get a different result. i.e. that magic words that were used before may yield different results later.

Outdoors: 15lb or 20lb Duna/Signfoam?

Sign makers,

For outdoor applications do you use 15lb or 20lb Duna/Signfoam?
Do you use a backer as well?

The particular sign is 24"x36" and will be bolted onto a post outdoors (garden setting) in the Bay Area of Northern California.

Re: V12 ToolPath Preview Hard to See

I have tried uploading as an attachment and by dragging and dropping them into the message box.

Rather than drag-and drop click the Add files button on the Attachments tab near the bottom of the screen when you are composing your forum message.

Collapse & Expand Design Tool Sections

A simple feature in V12 is the ability to collapse and expand sections of design tools by clicking on the tool section header.
I like that it keeps the interface from being too cluttered.

Re: Bottoming out a collet nut

A part of the checklist of things to do before running a job: make sure the bits do project far enough for the cut. For many of the jobs I run the above statement is true. Deep cuts near an outer vertical wall obviously require a bit long enough to do the cut. ColletCollision.png However, for some ...
