Re: Tricky issue

Did you check that there might be another layer with visibility turned off?
Look under Layers and verify that are all layers visible.

Re: Rotary Rounding Toolpath - What am I doing wrong?

Further explanation:
( Min Program Extents: X= 0.000, Y= 0.000, Z= -1.000)
( Max Program Extents: X= 20.000, Y= 6.283, Z= 0.000)
The Min and Max program extents describe the envelope of your material. In this project:
X goes from 0 to 20
Y goes from 0 to 6.283
Z goes from -1 to 0

Re: Rotary Rounding Toolpath - What am I doing wrong?

curious as to what the Material Size means ( Material Size: X= 20.000, Y= 6.283, Z= 1.000) X=20.000 Means the material is 20 inches long Y= 6.283 This is the circumference of the material, Circumference = π X Diameter, = 3.14*2" Z= 1.000 This is the thickness of the material. Vectric does not allow...

Re: Drafting sides of model.

I did about a week ago, I've yet to receive a response though.
You my want to check your email spam folder in case their response was re-directed.

Also, a lot of the staff was traveling last week for the conference in San Diego.

Re: Rotary Rounding Toolpath - What am I doing wrong?

Nothing was wrong with the CRV file. I went ahead and generated the G code for the rounding toolpath. By around line 37 Z was showing as zero, which is correct since you have specified zero on the cylinder surface. Which rotary post processor are you using? If you open the rounding toolpath file in ...

Re: Rotary Rounding Toolpath - What am I doing wrong?

Can you post the actual .CRV file that isn't working? It never actually touches the blank with the tool. How close does the bit come to the material? Can you post a video showing how you zero the bit, and then start the job so we can see what is happening? You can upload the video to YouTube and the...

Re: quick engrave toolpath fill options

I would recommend sending your file and a description of the problem to support@vectric.com for an official response.

While Vectric staff do occasionally drop by this forum, it is primarily user-to-user support.

Ian, It was great to catch up with you at the UGM. While the presentation are always great, the biggest benefit for me was talking to people in-between and after sessions. I learned more about design approaches from Doug Pinney I got some hints on acoustic guitar building from Sylvan Wells My eyes w...
