Re: Making Dish

I want to try and make a simple dish with a rounded transition from the side wall to bottom.
Use a bowl bit or a bowl bit designed to be used in a CNC machine.

Re: 4th Axis question

So when choosing the orientation in the job setup it should be the X axis (my 4th axis is inline with X) and the Y wrap post processor. However, the file is currently setup Along Y, wrapping X values. WrapAlongY.JPG I believe this is what you want. I've included the modified CRV file. AlongX.JPG

Re: 4th Axis question

Can you post the actual CRV file? That will save a lot of guesswork. Which version of Vcarve are you running? Rotary has changed behavior between V9.0 and V11.0 What post processor are you selecting? Re: Rest machine 3d finish path in v11

It does take longer, and if you add more tools it takes a very long time. (I tried it with 6 tools and it tool 30 minutes).

I found an optimum set of tools is something like a 1/4" and a 1/16", or a 2mm and a 0.25mm, i.e. the smaller tool should be 1/4 to 1/8th the diameter of the larger tool.

Re: Taxes

But most companies just want to sell their good or service and simply pass on the sales tax burden to customers as mandated by law. They collect the tax, deliver it and move on to the next customer. The software modules that handle the tax calculations also handle the remittance to the respective g...

Re: Rotary job- cutting below axis

Vectric does not support cutting below the centerline on rotary jobs.

You could try doing it as a 2-sided job, or use Cut3D and try it as a 4-sided job.

It might be better to send an email to support@vectric.com since this is mostly a user-to-user support forum.
