Watch the tutorial on 2D Toolpaths.D. Beattie wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 10:10 pmHow do we create a toolpath once we upload a file such as an SVG?
All of the videos are well done and will answer many questions. Not only watch them, but follow along in the program.

Re: Laser Preview Not Working on V11.554
The Move Speed is set to 140, but the Maximum Burn Rate is set to 1. Set the Maximum Burn Rate to 140, recalculate, and run the preview.
To see how Maximum Burn Rate affects the preview try it at 140, 70, 35, and 15. Remember to recalculate and rerun the preview after each change.

Re: Dish Clipart. Ridge around the top
Add a zero plane if you haven't already
Check that the model position in the material set set all they way to the top
Ensure that nothing inside the dish protrudes above the edge of the dish

A lot depends on the 3rd party nesting software. With some packages you would: export your vectors from your design program import into the nesting software nest export the nested vectors from the nesting software import into the design program create & save toolpaths With other 3rd party nesting pa...

Re: Profile cut 1.5 Material, Endmill Recommendation
I would not recommend using a 0.125" diameter bit for profile cuts in 1.5" wood.
My preference is to profile with a 0.5" diameter bit for wood more than 1" thick, though I sometimes use a 0.25" diameter bit if it has a long enough cutting edge length.

Re: Backup Automatically
I also recommend practicing restoring from backup: both individual files, as well as a full system restore.
Example:
Create a file, any file, nothing important.
After the backup has happened delete the file.
Now try to restore from backup.
