Thank You, for the reponses. I will try the Mach 3 to play with. I will also let Vectric know as soon as I decide which machine China will buy.

Tool Changer
Vectric Staff, Are there any postprocessors that support tool changers. Have a bot that I may put one on, also buying a new machine for China plant that I would like to use this software for but it will have a tool changer. Not sure of post yet but the machine will either be; KOMO, Yuetong, or Daron...

Graham, I did not see you mention telling the hard drive to stay on. My settings are to NEVER turn off monitor or hard drives, and no screen saver. Make sure that when you change these settings you save then and that the profile you saved is the one it's using. Hope this helps, I run XP Pro and this...

Cut vectors
I need to cut open vectors on right and/or left side, not just on. Example; I want to machine the shape U, I can Vcarve it but can't seem to profile it because it is not closed. Am I missing something simple? I am trying to pick software for our sister company to use. The files we both will be cutti...

Making a Litho
I am trying to make a Lithopane from a stl file I got from Vector Art 3D (Panel). When I flip the file over to machine from the bottom it wants to cut the outside shape also. Is there a way to machine within a region. I did what I needed to in VM but I prefer Cut3D better.
Thanks

Yes they are. It's the same company, we just are known by several names. We still make speakers for outdoor use but are now producing wooden speakers for indoor use also. There still really loud and rock solid. Since you used them in the 70's we have diverified. Our speakers are now part of most lar...

Nice job
Nice job Tony. I'm glad you were able to use the pics. As Chuck figured out, Loudspeakers is what we do. I used to use Visual Mill basic for everything, and still do use it for certain things that Cut 3D won't toolpath. Solidworks Model issues with the way I create them. I can say with 100% honesty ...

I usally use MDF also, it will have fuzz on the climb milled side. I have found that this comes off fairly well with a little scotchbight pad. The type of wood will depend a lot on what your doing with the model. Mine usally will get resined and sanded anyway. They are not visual per say but with a ...
