Re: Epoxy Volume Calculator

Hi Adze My apologies for the very tardy response. Life has been getting in the way. I am mildly confident with editing files if I know where they are. The layer I have been selecting to calculate is actually a vector of a lake for the cottage and there are some islands inside the shoreline vector. I...

Last supper

Hello I downloaded a new file of the last supper and programmed all the toolpaths to suit my machine and tools. After 19 hours (I let it run overnight) I came out to find that only the people and the table in the file didn't carve. The border and all other detail turned out just fine at all levels o...

is there a way to convert

Is there a way to convert .nc files to .crv3d? I copied a crv3d file to my thumb drive but I closed the crv3d file before saving it. So, I still have all the work I did, its just as a .nc file. I need to resize it and do more work so Im really REALLY hoping there is a way to get it back? Is there? P...

Soft alarm on X axis motion at line No: 30

Hello I keep getting this error code once my machine spools up to carve. I have done a complete shut down and rehomed, re-probed and reloaded the file. Once the spindle lowers and then gets up to speed, it shuts off again and an error message comes up reporting "Soft alarm on X axis motion at line N...

Start and Flat depth issues

Having troubles with the start and flat depths in the V-Carve tool not working very well. We are using a 0.75 TBN bit rather than a real v-carve bit as the text is small and needs to run a bit deeper. Unfortunately, the fonts we need to use aren't compatible with single line, nor did it seem to work...

Setting vectric to be flat over an uneven surface

I'm having a few issues with modeling one part to be over top another. Ideally, the blade should be going into the skull, and look flat. Though, when I attempt to model the vectric, I cannot figure out how to have it reside flat over top the skull. Any advice on how I can achieve the effects I'm loo...

Join a single line to a closed vector

Hello all I am creating a set of pistol grips for my 1911. I have exacted the measurements and created the outline as one single closed vector. I then drew 2 polylines that will have further definition when I create the 3d profile, as the top and bottom will be beveled. This is where my problem is. ...
