Re: Carving a Angle on a Flat surface.

PS. The angle should be 45% from Right to left. The left line is equal to the top flat area of the arm rest. ie you are working on the underside of the armrest.

Carving a Angle on a Flat surface.

I have to carve an angle at the bottom part of an armrest, so that the arm rest fits snug to the back leg. I have tried various methods including Moulding and chamfer paths. The system does no seem to extend the angle carve from end to end. It is either on the bottom of the carve or at the top and n...

Here is an example of a leg for a Victorian Style Wash Stand.

Please try it out. It has also the Mortises already included.

I will be recreating the project step by step over the next two days and will make notes of every step. It seems that the basic leg cuts fine, but the issues start when I add the engravings.

attached the y-axis and x-axis view as well as photos of the product. Both these axis shows the correct angle but how do I verify that. x-axis.pngy-axis.png PS. Using Sketchup2019 for modeling. I have noticed that the mortise still cuts parallel with the Z-axis even though the leg is twisted to -16...

Re: Double sided machine dowel hole placement help

My method is that I delete all the parts on the other side.
Go back to the "Front" side and copy all the objects to the other side.
Complete a recalc on all the paths.
Yes it is a pain in the bud , but is the only way I can think of re-aligning all the objects
