The box is beautiful. I like the whole thing, the wood and the finish and the shape and especially the carvings. The knob, well, maybe it could be "Antiqued"? Anyway, you should be very proud of your effort....joe

I found the design vector in the "Clipart" section and used that with the square section and it worked as it should. Looking at the clipart vector, it has more nodes than the original, maybe that has something to do with it...joe

You can draw your rectangle and stretch a diagonal from corner to corner. Then highlight one of the diagonals and go to the "Offset" box and choose a number that is one half the total width you want and delete the original. Just go back to your v-carve toolpath and uncheck the "Project onto Model" block and it will carve the way you want it. joe

I would combine 2D for the recesses and through cuts and the only part that is 3D is the rounded raised portions. Do the 3D part first and put vectors around them and pretty much pocket out the rest.....this is what I am thinking just looking at your previews...joe
