Re: Easy MDF Cabinet Door Maker

@jimandi If i open the Gadget and select the Door Panel Pocket Bit in the Bit selection page to be a 8mm End mill, and press build and then generate the Toolpaths, the Drawing is fine and the Toolpaths are fine too. If i again enter the Gadget and press build and then Toolpath, i get an error messag...

Re: Easy MDF Cabinet Door Maker

@Jimandi, i see your point. I think right now, optionally, making the outer pocket vector smaller by the depth of cut. And to manually change the 'Door Inside Edge' to Inside. But honestly, i suggest leaving it as is, is the best choice. There are other more important matters than this. It's not har...

Re: Easy MDF Cabinet Door Maker

Sure can. It was just a question out of curiosity. I think the sharp corner effect is the most used Door Front style i know of. There are some pictures i took, i hope it is understandable. Here is a picture of the Shaker now as it is. The Inner Edge of the carving is rounded up in the corners: Simpl...

Re: Easy MDF Cabinet Door Maker

Wow Jim, your work is great. Haven't been in for a while, but this thing evolved really fast. @Sharkcutup, i see that in the picture above you have generated a Kitchen Sink Cabinet with the Interior as a Shaker style, where the Inner edge and the Raised Panel edge are sharp corners. How did you do i...

Re: Easy BoxJoint Maker 3.2

Has anyone seen WoodSmiths video of Joinery? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ln9McUHV9s&t=434s&ab_channel=Woodsmith He show a great way of making Box Joints with a TBone but Blind ones. From minute 7 onwards You think the Gadget could do such things?? This means, the Joint is Hidden from the inside...

Re: Easy Cabinet Maker

Wow Great Gadget. I guess this took a very long time until it got finished. Jimandi, you're highly esteemed.

Sadly it's only Imperial and not working in Metric.

Re: Easy MDF Cabinet Door Maker

Hello Jimandi. It took me some time to test and to get myself informed about the Scribe Lines. For them to look good, and to be correct, they are not allowed to be 4 lines in each Scribe Corner, but 2 Lines that go like this: Left one from Top to Bottom and the Right one from Bottom to Top. Untitled...

Re: Easy MDF Cabinet Door Maker

Wonderful good day, Sorry for writing so late... Ok, I've tested the new Gadget, here is a Screenshot. Now the Line Start Points are like this: Upper Left: From Down to Up Upper Right: From Down to Up Lower Left: From Up to Down Lower Right : From Up to Down But they should be like this: Upper Left ...

Re: Easy MDF Cabinet Door Maker

Hello Jimandi, Wow, you work really fast. Thanks a lot for the new Version. I've tested it for the first time. Looks good. There is a little error though, namely the lines all have the Start points from Up to Down, so if you want to create a Toolpath, then you'll have to select a Outside Profile cut...

Re: Easy MDF Cabinet Door Maker

Would it be possible to add something like the Flutes, but between the Inside Corners and the Exterior, so it looks like it's a real Wooden Door Front? Something like this:

This would also need a separate Layer Name....

Re: Rotary Machining Rounding Toolpath

Seeing your video, shows that the Radial Strategy has the same finish as mine. So it's not just me. For someone not having a Lathe but a Router with an indexer i guess best strategy is Spiral Cut with a Bit as big as possible.

Thank you for your time and help.

Re: Rotary Machining Rounding Toolpath

@ SteveNelson46: Thank you for the hint. Head and Tailstock are alined perfectly though. The Laserpointer idea is great. @Charlie_I: Like i said, it's not from the Spindle. Perfectly alined also. @ adze_cnc: You were right!!! It is the Router Bit. It seems to curve itself to the outside. so it is 1m...
