If I understand your question.
In the pocketing toolpath you can control the depth of each pass,
Just make the last one say 0.02.

Re: vector boundary
Photos of what you are trying to do would be helpful.
Typically you only get the error message you referenced when you needed to select a vector before you pressed a given button.
I have no clue why you are getting that error message when you are trying to create a boundary vector.

Re: Considering Vcarve
On a model that simple just create it, a good way to learn the software.
It will cut faster than 3d toolpathing (rough and finish).
The image you show could be done with pocketing and profiling and if you want to get fancier a moulding toolpath.
The training videos will show these too.

Upload the file too.
Was it reversed on the screen?
Some of those fonts with the @ in front of them do funky things.

Re: Rotary machining time
My CNC will give me an estimate of the time before I cut. Then it will give me the actual time after I cut it. The 2 times are usually with 30 seconds of each other. These are the best way if you are using the time for estimates for calculating cost of a project. I have to ask the machine for these ...

Re: Rotary machining time
Under toolpath Summary what is your Scale Factor set to?
I don't have a rotary, but would imagine it is different that 2d 2.5 d and 3d times.
Are your other times in sink.

Re: CNC Cut File for 3D Unicorn ASAP Please
Additional details are required.
I assuming you bought the unicorn file.
How big do you want to make this project?
Are you looking for someone to generate the toolpaths for you?
You said VCarve or Aspire, which one do you have?
Double sided or single sided?

Re: How to get More Cleaner finish
Its a spindle not a router, spindles are meant for longer runtimes. There are people out there with routers that would run this file w/o even thinking about resting their router. If you must split draw 2 or more overlapping squares and change your Machining Limit Boundary to Selected Vector . Select...
