Re: text cutting backwards

Upload the file too.

Was it reversed on the screen?

Some of those fonts with the @ in front of them do funky things.

Re: Rotary machining time

My CNC will give me an estimate of the time before I cut. Then it will give me the actual time after I cut it. The 2 times are usually with 30 seconds of each other. These are the best way if you are using the time for estimates for calculating cost of a project. I have to ask the machine for these ...

Re: Rotary machining time

Under toolpath Summary what is your Scale Factor set to?
Untitled.jpg
I don't have a rotary, but would imagine it is different that 2d 2.5 d and 3d times.

Are your other times in sink.

Re: CNC Cut File for 3D Unicorn ASAP Please

Additional details are required.
I assuming you bought the unicorn file.

How big do you want to make this project?

Are you looking for someone to generate the toolpaths for you?

You said VCarve or Aspire, which one do you have?

Double sided or single sided?

Re: How to get More Cleaner finish

Its a spindle not a router, spindles are meant for longer runtimes. There are people out there with routers that would run this file w/o even thinking about resting their router. If you must split draw 2 or more overlapping squares and change your Machining Limit Boundary to Selected Vector . Select...

Re: Default values in Tool Library

There is no one good value for any tool in the tool database. Depends on your machine , material being cut , size of threads , tool path type and how aggressive the operator is . The default values are starting points, adjust per the above five. I have different settings for my bits depending on wha...

Re: Is there a way to do this

So this must be a copyright issue, but is there anyway we could see the file?

How about cutting away most of the column and capital and posting that with the toolpaths?

Hopefully you created a specific tool path for each of those tools. If you did not that is a huge mistake.
This above statement confuses me.
What do you mean by "specific tool path for each of those tools."?

I assumed he was using REST machining.

Are you saying REST machining could cause that if he was using the correct bits?

Separate Toolpaths vs REST

Re: Is there a way to do this

Next most likely issue, don't take this the wrong way, you wouldn't be the first person to do this.

You told it you were using 1/32 TBN, Did you use 1/16 TBN?

Re: Is there a way to do this

My guess is your geometry for that bit doesn't match the actual bit.

That is why you don't see it in the preview.

Because it is taking more off means your bit is larger than you told it in the tool database.
