Re: VCP 8.505 Shopbot Edition ?

I agree it seems like a long time between general addition and SHOPBOT? I just emailed Shopbot tech support to see if they had any Eta

Re: share box joints

I use Aspire and did some box joints for drawers. They worked well, but always needed a bit of hand work. I did try, and buy, the software that G Burkhart wrote. It is really nice. It isn't the fastest way to do box joints, but now that I'm using it with a high vac set of pods it is really easy to d...

Thanks Adrian
that second cup of coffee hadn't taken effect yet. Now that I see it I can't believe I lost track of it. Now has anyone seen where I put my truck keys ... That's another issue I guess..

how to calculate area of a selection

I remember that it's possible? to have the program calculate the area of a selected shape, but I cannot remember how to do it. Am I confusing Aspire with one of my other CAD programs? or is it in here somewhere?
can't find it in a search of the help PDF
thanks

No response to tech support email

I don't understand, but I had an tech question and emailed tech support on June 8. After no response I resent it on June 17 to support@vectric.com and Mark Moran, still no response. Yesterday I sent another to support@vectric.com, am I missing something or do I have a bad email address? I have used ...

Re: I'll be making a Dutch Door out of ash

I would recommend using Festool tenons instead of biscuits. I just did 5 doors 22 x 102 @ 1 3/8 and put 2 12mm x 140 in each stile rail intersection. Might be overkill but they are dead flat and will never come apart. I cut the pockets with a 3/8 bit on a shopbot. The rails got clamped to the end of...

What are you using to great your vacuum? I want to start making some production style jigs and wondered if a Venturi type system would be able to keep up with the inevitable small leaks

Re: ASPIRE CAMP 2013 !!!

Jim, Tara, James, Tim, Ryan, TJ, Michael and everyone I missed, THANK YOU!!
That was a great 3 days, a lot of learning in a great atmosphere. It really couldn't have been better. I know a lot of people put an awesome amount of work into putting that together, and I appreciate every bit.

Re: copper house sign

Really nice
That really has started some ideas rolling around.
Don't think I can get the ok for a bigger truck based on this, but it will surely make some folks here happy if I can make on 1/2 that nice.
