Re: Cutting fine lines in Vectric. How?
Follow Adze advice. Also try cutting the path twice. I found it will take out any rough spots.

Re: V Carve and imac
Looking to upgrade my 2015 MacBook Pro to the new MacBook Pro with the M3 chip. I currently have a windows desktop that I run VCarve, Aspire, Sketch up, etc on but really would rather have the portability of a laptop. I’ve read the threads here in the forum and have a follow-up question. Have read t...

Steve,
The detail on the center of flower is so amazing. Not sure how you did that. Looks outstanding!

Re: pdf plans to VCP
I have found tracing a pdf image after it’s been imported very difficult. I must be doing it wrong since I have read here and other places this is the best way to do it. Is there a “special” technique for tracing?

Re: Offset
I’m no expert, but I have never had luck with those “cam” hold downs you are using. I find they slip when under the torque of the router and that would cause your project to shift..any shift at all and there goes your center reference. I see you have a bolted down square to the left and I use that s...

Re: Font Inlay
Also cut the VCarve pass first before the clearing pass. That way there is more support for the small “peaks” of the letters during the cut.

Re: Smoother Flattening
I have had the same problem with the Whitehead 6220 bit. It works fine for flattening the MDF spoilboard but when I try to use it to flatten slabs, regardless of the RPM , feed rate or depth of cut, it burns the wood and makes a very rough cut. My opinion it is made for MDF spoilboards and priced as...

Laptop computer specs
Planning to purchase myself a laptop for Christmas ( Merry Christmas to me!). The main use will be for the VCarve software plus just email & web browsing. I have a separate desktop computer that is used exclusively to run the CNC so I’ll be transferring files via USB stick. I need some help on what ...

Re: Array Copy
OK, I tried and here is the result. I saved the individual toolpaths separately to my usb drive. In the “preview all toolpaths” on vcarve it shows all 12 being cut. When I ran the first toolpath on the machine it only cut one piece, the other 11 were not cut. For some reason the array toolpath will ...
