Bench Dog hole size?
I am replacing my spoilboard on my machine and am replacing the dowels and holes with 20mm bench dogs. 20MM converted to English measurement is 0.7874016. From previous experiences, I know that a hole cut into the spoilboard at exactly the same size will be too tight. So, if I cut them at 21MM I fee...

Re: Question on touch plate
True. I should have figured it would be a Mach control versus Aspire. I appreciate the help.

Question on touch plate
I don't know if this is in the correct location, but is there a method to have the x-y setting be at a different location than 0,0? When I do a toolpath and the G-code finishes, the machine goes to the previously set x=0 and y=0 position. Then when I change the bit and load the new G-code for the ne...

Re: Two sided question
Think I figured it out. Grouped each side's vectors and moved the group on each side equal distances. It worked. I attached photo representation

Two sided question
I have a model that has intertwined vectors on both sides of the model. In addition, there are multiple groups on both sides. How would you suggest moving these parts, both sides (trying to get more efficient getting parts out of a piece of wood) to keep the alignment of all the vectors. One side ha...

Re: Z-height change problem
Okay, issue is identified. There was an update to Mach4 that corrected this problem. I reached out to Avid and there was an issue with the original Mach4, so I updated and cut and it is perfect. I really think it was an issue with a interface between Mach4 and Windows. Personally, I use a MACbook Pr...

Re: Z-height change problem
Will do, but I lock the bit down pretty well. Will double check, as it sounds like a potential solution.

I've had the wood locked down pretty significantly, but I will check. Thanks for the advice!

Z-height change problem
Hey folks, I first apologize if this has been discussed before, but I have a significant problem that is just beyond my skill level. Second, I apologize for the length of this post as without the proper description, it won't make true sense. I would appreciate any comments toward finding a solution....

Re: Computer Hardware
I am not trying to hijack the conversation, but I am using an older PC which I believe is a i5 processor 16 gb ram and a 2TB SSD. I have a significant collection of STL files on a second internal 2TB SSD. I know that processing and importing the STL files is intensive but I am seeing a lot of strugg...
