Re: Auto Log Out at SUPPORT menu
The training videos are on the main site which doesn't require a login. If you login to the portal site and then go to the training video link it will direct you back to the main site. All the support links are on www.vectric.com rather than portal.vectric.com It may say login at the top of the scre...

Re: Post Processor inches or mm
It depends on what you machine is expecting. Some of the GRBL based ones will only work with metric, some will do both. As far as the Vectric side of things goes it doesn't matter. You can mix and match units all you like. I have imperial tools and metric tools on the same job. I have metric tools w...

V12 takes account of DPI scaling in Windows so depending on your settings you may see some differences in sizes.

You have the option to download the license as a file from the same place as you download the installer. Copy both to a usb drive and then when you install on the offline computer you can use the option to license from a file.

For the 11.5 tutorial videos it's best to go to Video Tutorial browser on the Help menu.

Re: Help with Roundover bit following edge of a chair seat
Will V-carve Pro allow you to save a toolpath preview as a model (like you can in Aspire)? I’ve never heard of that. Very interesting. It can't be done in VCarve. It's an Aspire only feature which is incredibly useful. I use it all the time for making models for 3D printing from 2D toolpaths.

Make sure that you have the same material AND machine selected at the top of the tool database in both programs.

Re: Notes file in VCarve project
Go to the Edit menu and use the Notes tool there. You can delete the text if desired by selecting it and pressing Delete or Backspace.
Alternatively you can delete the . at the start of the text and that will stop it auto displaying but leave it intact in case you need to refer to it in the future.

Re: Layers in 12
I honestly can't think of a reason why I would need to know which layers are on which sheets but email Vectric and if enough people want that feature then it will probably appear at some point in the future.

It's not turned on by default. You can use the menu or press Ctrl-S.
If you want the icon back then you need to go into Options on the Edit menu and set "Show additional file operations" to "Yes" in General Settings.

Re: Aspire Version 12 is OUT NOW 🎉
Something about this was niggling at the back of my mind so I went over some old threads. As I thought I remembered it used to be (years go) that Copy and Paste always worked with the active layer only but there was a workaround where you could hold the shift key down while using the icons or top le...

Re: Version 12 Tool/Feature Name Changes (Be-Fuddling)
Thanks... but I am not sure I like losing functionality for my convenience. I know Vectric can't please everyone... but someone had to sign off on this as a "new and improved" feature. It would have been more confusing to have to use something other than the left mouse button when drawing vectors. ...

Re: Aspire Version 12 is OUT NOW 🎉
Ok I see what you mean now. You only mentioned pasting not copying. Using Ctrl-C is so ingrained that I did that and then used the other two methods for pasting. That way always works. It's not until you copy and paste both from the right click menu that it behaves that way.

Re: Aspire Version 12 is OUT NOW 🎉
I found an issue with the Paste option when you right click on the screen then left click on Paste. When I do this, all the items I'm pasting go directly to the current layer. If I use the Ctrl V or go under the Edit in the Menu then click on Paste, all the items I am pasting go to the correct laye...
