Re: Drag knife gadget issues
Are you able to edit the commands behind the M03 and tell it not to start if the speed is zero? I can with the equivalent on my machine.

Re: Eporting PDF with colored layers
Exporting as SVG definitely does. Probably some others as well but I always use SVG and know it works.

Re: bugged up broken software.
You'll get more help by posting in the correct forum section. This section is for discussing hardware and control software rather than VCarve itself. People will see your post here but nowhere near as many as would in the VCarve section. When you're talking about inlay do you mean the built-in inlay...

Re: Need help with a carve
Select the offset vector and the original vector together either by drag selecting or holding shift while clicking and create the toolpath with that. You can use the 1/8" and 1/16" tools in the same toolpath and the software will generate a toolpath for each which will cut just the parts that tool c...

Re: Data Auto Fill in Series
Use the Plate Production tool. It's in the "Offset and Layout" section on the Drawing tab. It will do exactly what you want.

Re: Deleting a Custom Variable
I pass info to the post processor using the tool notes and toolpath notes fields depending on whether it's a tool specific operation or a toolpath specific operation.

Re: Drag knife gadget issues
Well if I had found that thread and got the answers I promise I wouldn’t have posted and I can assure you that my gcode saves as s1 M03 as I have my speed set to 1rpm but my spindle doesn’t recognize anything less than 10v so it spins my drag knife at 12k if I forget to delete that line but…….that ...

Re: Deleting a Custom Variable
Not following why you would want to setup a variable to change the name for just one toolpath?
The variable system for tool names is really for the database as a whole.

Re: 3D Carving Times
I just upgrades from VCarve Pro to Aspire 11.5 because I want to venture deeper into the 3D world with my Onefinity Woodworker. One simple question: Should I realistically expect 3d carves to take triple or quadruple the carving time? Or am I missing a setting somewhere? . Thanks in advance for all...

Re: Deleting a Custom Variable
Not sure if you mean a document variable or a custom (tool database) variable.
Either way the procedure is the same. Select the variable in the list (on the form you used to create the variable) and click the Delete button to the top right of the list.

Have you saved the file and restarted VCarve? That generally sorts out display issues.

Re: Used Array Copy toolpath and only one piece cut out!
You have the "Selected Toolpath" option set. That will save the selected toolpath only which is the one highlighted in blue (the check boxes control visibility not selection). In your case you've selected one part of the array toolpath so that's all it will save and then cut. I presume when you prev...

Re: Looking form Tutorials or You Tube Videos regarding Z Zero from Machine Bed
What is it you're struggling with? You don't need to change anything other than the z-zero itself in the software and where you z-zero on the machine. People tend to overthink it. I remember a very long thread a few years ago on another forum where people were coming up with all sorts of weird formu...

Re: Moving vectors AND toolspaths between sheets?
That's where a lot of people get hung up with sheets IMO. They haven't worked out what they want their workflow to be and get mixed up in trying to get the software to do things they don't really need to do. It's possible with all the different options and toolpath import/save methods to perform pre...
