Re: 3d carving
Check the Z settings in the Material Setup on the Toolpath tab. That's where the Gap Above Material (Home Z) and clearance values are set.

Re: Backup and restore library tool from antoher pc
The tool database is stored in the ProgramData folder. Easiest way to get there is to use Open Application Data Folder on the File menu.
You can open up the same location on the old PC from Windows to get to it.

Re: metric on the fly
You can't print to scale from Aspire. You can make the print smaller or larger by zooming in and out in the 2D view and checking the results using Print Preview on the File menu. Export to PDF is on the File menu under Export and is the last one one on the list. If you don't have that option then yo...

Click on the Text Spacing/Kerning tool (3rd icon, 3rd row under Create Vectors) on the picture on the first page of the Help and it will take you straight to that section.

Re: WHowe to search the manual
The Help is display in your default Internet browser so you use the search function in that. Ctrl-F works in most. To be able to search everything you need have selected Single Page at the top of the Help. Generally I find it quicker and easier to use the interactive features. You can click on any p...

Re: V-carve calculates Pocket toolpath
Sounds like you have an extra vector outside of the letters selected as part of the toolpath. If you have some text and then draw a shape, such as a rectangle, around it and then select both when you create the toolpath you will get exactly the result you're seeing.

Re: Having a problem with a pocket tool path.
With a start depth set and a cut depth that is less than the radius of the tool you're basically cutting with a tool that is effectively approximately 1" in diameter rather than 1.25". When you use a start depth the software assumes there is no material in the way and if there is you have to allow f...

Did you download and install the tutorial files from the link just below the video? There are two CRV files in the Vectophone_FILES folder.

Re: trouble veiwing tutorials
Playing fine for me from the Video Tutorial Browser. It uses whatever your default Internet browser is so my guess would be that the problem is there as it's all outside of the Vectric software by that point.

Are you making sure you press the = after entering the formula? It's something I do multiple times a day and it works in every tool I use.

Line 8 is telling the machine to move 38 on the X axis, 24 on the Y axis and 5 on the Z axis. If you don't have that amount of Z travel then that will be where you're having problems. Not sure what you mean by the gcode trying to home the machine again. That's done with your control software and not...
