We've used ABS sheets very successfully. I can be painted. It is waterproof and not too heavy. It is pricey, but so far, it seems to be very durable in our northern climate.

If you are referring to gSender by Sienci in Canada, I have posted on the Sienci forum about using an android table and TouchPortal to run my Long Mill using gSender.

I don't use UGS any more, preferring gSender. However, I believe that you will find that UGS show measurements in metric because grbl is native metric.
