Moin, Branding tool made of brass. Size 30 x 66mm. Tools used 3.175mm, 1.0mm, 0.5mm end mill and a 60° V-Bit. The soldering bit only pressed into the branding tool as a press fit. _DSC3160_01.JPG _DSC3165_01.JPG _DSC3166_01.JPG Eckart ------------------------------ https://ich-fräs-das.de

Re: Bit Diving Help
The cutter would be pulled out of the clamp, reduce the feed and/or increase the speed. I use 86 in/min and 18 000 rpm for oak.
Plunge and pass is OK.

Re: oak sign
I used a lathe and turned the tool out of an aluminum rod with a 90° cone and equipped it with 3M adhesive sandpaper.

oak sign
Moin,
One of my projects this year was an oak sign for a business opening.
This was made of 5 oak boards, which were prepared on the CNC machine for gluing together.
Tools: 90° V-bit, 3,175 mm and 6mm end mill
Clamping by vacuum pads and clamps
Size: 650 x 1100 x 26 mm
Best Regards

First Stacked Text Sign
Inspired from Bekis Efficient Custom Projects UGM 2020, I practice my First Stacked Text Sign at unknown waste wood pieces. I used a 1mm End mill for the last passes and finished it with wax stain and wiping technique.

Clamping workpieces against a fixed z-value upwards
I do a lot of milling work for an olive wood dealer and his boards are rarely straight or equal, i clamp the boards against a fixed z-level upwards to get an even 1mm pocket or round over milling if necessary. I developed some clamping devices by clamping wedges and wedge paths made with the Fluting...

Re: Cutting pre-shaped material
Hi,
I had the same problem with banjo necks and created the roughing pass in 3 parts with overlaps. First the outer parts head plate and bolton are milled and then the middle part with modified g-code. I deleted parts of the g-code with Mach 3 except the last 30mm.

Re: Cutting 2.5 inch hard maple
Hi,
I often use these endmills, for example to mill a banjo neck out of 65mm maple wood.

Kitchen and Wall decoration
Hi, I need some kitchen and wall decoration stuff and so I choose some 3D carving parts for that. At one worm I choose a 6mm ball nose cutter instead of a 3.2 mm cutter and wondered, why everything was a bit thinner. However, to practice the painting technique of Michael Tyler I finished it and now ...
