Re: Saving to pic files

Michael,

When I do photos, first I do the pic in photo vcarve, save it as a pvc file and import them into vcarve pro. This way I can have a frame around it if I want.

Re: Saving to pic files

Go to file click save as. That will save the pvc file so you can import it into vcarve program. Use this post processor for the shark. See attachment

Two become one Lithophane.

Lithophane I made using photo vcarve. I used a .0625 ball nose bit carving .15 deep.

Re: Cutting Multiple depths on a textured toolpath

You have to edit the pass depth in your tool data base.

Re: Lithophane

Very nice detail on the faces. How long did it take you to carve it.

Re: PhotoVCarve not working correctly for me either!

I use photo vcarve for all my photos, sometimes I will use aspire for lithos. I used a .0625 ball nose on this one with a line spacing of 1500 lines.

Really can't see it up close, good for first time. When you upload pics use upload attachment for your pics.

Re: my first try with photo v carve

What are you trying to do with pic? A lithophane is made with corian and you invert the carving in the program.

3 new lithophanes

Did 3 lithophanes, with and without the led lights on. The boxes are made of red oak. They are made of 1/4" corian using a .0625 ball nose bit 1 pass. I use led lights all around the inside of the box. Plus I painted the inside with white paint.
