Toolpath Creation Error
Hi Group, I'm creating a toolpath to cut out a part from 3mm carbon fiber after drilling, counterboring and cutting some other pieces out. All I want to do is cut out the part from the carbon fiber sheet I started with but I get the error: No toolpath generated for current parameters. Check tool can...

Re: Pocket Allowance Setting Missing
Thank you Adrian,
How embarrassing! I think I need new glasses! I made a point of checking the female Pocket toolpath and the regular Pocket toolpath yesterday and missed it both times!
Thanks again!

Pocket Allowance Setting Missing
Hi All, I'm interesting in doing some inlay work using the Inlay Toolpath. I watched the video on the Vectric website and it seems straightforward. I was working along with the video but I hit a brick wall because my Cut 2D Desktop (ver. 10.514) doesn't have the Pocket Allowance setting in the Inlay...

Re: How to determine radius of a fillet
Thanks gents!
That did the trick! Interestingly, I have never used that tool before. Thanks for pointing me to it.
I'll be sure to check the video tutorials more often, too.
Regards,
Ken

How to determine radius of a fillet
Hi All, I am editing a Cut2D drawing that has fillets of several different radii. Is there a function that allows me to click on a fillet and determine what its radius is? I know I could draw some perpendicular lines and experiment with fillets until I find the correct radius, but here must be a bet...

Re: Setting but not getting tabs
Thanks Greg,
I was wondering about that. I find that if I don't go just a little bit deeper than I end up with one large tab all around my work!
Would making the tabs 1mm thick instead of 0.5mm be the way to do it?
Thanks again,
Ken

Re: Setting but not getting tabs
Hi Adrian, Yes, I recalculate the toolpaths after adding the tabs. I have attached the drawing file plus the three toolpaths. Not sure if you need the toolpaths, but they're small. I'd appreciate any help! Thanks! Ken Are you calculating the toolpaths after adding the tabs? Could you attach a file s...

Setting but not getting tabs
Hi all, I'm trying to add some tabs to some toolpaths. The procedure is simple enough; I insert the tabs and move them to where I want them. I Save my project, but Toolpath Preview does not display them and they aren't there when I cut my pieces out. Like I said, it seems simple enough, so it must m...

Re: Un-Joining Vectors
Thanks John! I see the Node Editing option you referred to and will give it a try. Unfortunately, Gadgets only appear to be a feature of Cut2D Pro and not Desktop, which is what I have. I think Node Editing should be more than adequate. Thanks again, Ken You can use the Cut option in Node Editing to...

Un-Joining Vectors
Is there a way of un-joining or exploding vectors that I have previously joined, and now want to edit?
Many thanks, as always!

Zooming After Previewing Toolpaths
I spend an inordinate amount of time fiddling with the character spacing of text I want to engrave in my work. I'm using Helvetica 1L, 3mm height. If I don't increase the character spacing then one character partly overlaps the next one. I know the simple answer is to use larger text, but that isn't...

Previewing Old Toolpaths
I recently started creating toolpaths consisting of multiple smaller toolpaths and saving using Output all visible toolpaths to one file . Sometimes, I want to use that file days later but want to check first to see if a later change has been incorporated. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to ...

Re: Material Management?
Thanks Adrian, and sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I see now that it's an organizational aid, so that I can tailor the characteristics myself to different materials as I learn about them. I see the other list of different woods is just a visualization thing when previewing toolpaths. I ...

Material Management?
I just saw that there is a material database in addition to a tool database. The material database has a large list of different woods (and metals and other materials, but I didn't look that closely). I realize the choice of material will affect how my router cuts. Several problems: 1. I can't make ...
