Re: Job Pricing Software
It'll be a little while because I have a few things to get first but I'm getting back on track & really cant wait. Getting back to my 3rd router build is 5th on my list, getting a workshop again is 4th. Hopefully will at least be building the router within the next 12 months. Touch wood!

Re: V-Carving a 3d model
I'm not sure what you mean..... You showed them a 3D carving and the price is too high so they want the same picture V-Carved instead? Have you thought about tracing the photo of the relieft panel they gave you to get a useful set of vectors for V-Carving. The V-Carving is never going to look anythi...

Re: Job Pricing Software

Those who have not received a refund please pm me and I will reply with my current PayPal email and price you paid for...

Re: Carving as if using router by hand
If you want the blade to cut all the letters in one pass then you need to use attached writing such as script. There are no single line fonts as far as I'm aware which are attached writing, although that would be perfect. If you use a true type font and set it to cut 'on' profile with a ball nose bi...

Quote&Cost .... Hello strangers .... Sorry for delay!
Hey strangers, Those of you who keep track on the CNCZone would have seen my post at the start of this year regarding Quote&Cost. I was away in a pretty crappy part of the world and security settings wouldn't let me access the Vectric Forum. :( Anyhow, because of my changed circumstances the program...

Thanks folks, all the kind words are very much appreciated, and thanks for the laugh RoutnAbout. I've never stopped playing with the software, so hopefully at least I'm still up on the theory if not the practise! I'll do my best to drop in more often and if nothing else, at least admire...

Hi
Hi all, Just thought I'd drop a line to wish everyone at Vectric and on the forum the best. :) I'm still around but things have been a bit strained the past few months, and all my equipment is still in storage so I'm not getting up to much. Looks like its going to stay that way for the forseeable fu...

Re: What size are pen blanks (Not a trick question) ?
Hi folks, well I dropped into the school today and they took 99% of the hardwood and some softwood. He told me that with the budgets the way they are they can't afford to subsidise leaving cert projects for students anymore, and it all depends on what the parents can afford, so he was very grateful ...

Re: What size are pen blanks (Not a trick question) ?
Made a bit of a mistake, most of the stuff on the roof is American Hard Maple. Sorry. Most of the Oak is in the cutoffs. I rang an old teacher of mine, and my old school might be interested in taking some, so I'm dropping into him tomorrow. Anyone here who is interested please let me know any...

PS: I left it on the roof until tomorrow, but covered it in plastic after the picture. Apart from tonight it was always stored indoors.
