Re: rapid Z gap

I think you're misunderstanding the purpose of Z1 and Z2. The toolpath will retract to the Z1 value between passes always. The move from Z1 to Z2 is performed at rapid speeds rather than the plunge speed of the tool if you have RAPID_PLUNGE_TO_STARTZ="YES" set in the post processor you're using. Ba...

rapid Z gap

my rapid z gap (z2 - .100) is defaulting to the (z1 - 1.00) value between pocketing passes... any clue as to why this is happening?

Re: Drag knife

What do you need to know that isn't covered on the gadget display itself? I'd like to know what makes using this gadget different from using the profile tool with the spindle off? I could just try using it and figure it out thru trial and error, but thought there may be some way to reference the ga...

Re: find location

Okay thanks - I was looking for a step quantity selector box... like in the profile toolpath box... my eyes did not pick up the pass depth parameter selector in the tool database selector... will retry my toolpathing. - thanks again!

Re: traced a paper diagram of a running horse

Just curious as why not just take the bitmap and convert it to a dxf, then scale it.... why the need to trace anything?
