Well guys: After more research I have found out that a laser is what is needed and cut from the back side. I guess I have to pass on this one, don't have a laser.

Thanks for all the thoughts. I like the idea of reverse side cutting, going to have to give that a try. Nobody at the old company to ask how they did it. The boat shop feeds me a lot of work so I'd hate to disappoint them. I seem to be the go to guy when nobody else wants to do it. That's okay, keep...

Hi One and all: Has anyone cut non skid self sticky tape with a cnc? A boat busyness has asked me if I could rout out words out of this material. What bit would be best? The granuals feel somewhat abrasive. They used to have someone do it for them but they are out of busyness.

Hi Everyone. Can't go anywhere so playing with the cnc. My latest double oval fluted bowl out of Camphor.
Cut with a .375 diameter ball nose double flute up spiral carbide bit. Finish with penetrating epoxy.

Hi Guys and Gals: Been away from my shop for a few months and need reminders. How do I change the start point when doing fluting? The tutorials are hard to understand with these old ears and I keep missing that part about doing that. Thanks.

Hi Guys: These were all experiments on technique. Some have one straight line repeated, some are wiggly line half way across. I used a penetrating epoxy which turned the red cedar darker. Now keeping my eye open for larger cookies to do into a deeper bowls. Here in Marion County, Florida, prices are...

I guess I've been lucky. I never any issues with kiln dried popular. Did a pair of café doors a while back with both side carved and came out nice.

if you have Mach 3 it will figure it all out in degrees for the A value.

Try profile cut on the line. You must specify a depth of cut and the bit being used.

Have you gone in settings to set the radius?
