I think it is what he wanted. I assume his punch will be just the diameter of the flower. Paul Z After taking a closer look at your 3D preview, Paul, your closer than I thought. Although, your version will be on a raised 'button' within a square 'sunken' area (see my preview of your version attache...

Paul Z, When you take your result, turn it over and whack it into a piece of leather I think all you're going to get is a square with a circle in the center. That is unless you give it one massive whallop! Either way it's not going to produce the result that DavidH is looking for in his firs...

DavidH, It looks like you're on the right track. Here's my quick take on your embossing tool. When you start talking embossing tools or molds you have to think in the negative. That means 'keeping' what you don't want on the final product or embossing in order to get what you do want. Is that too co...

Art,

All of your lines are open vectors. Select all of the vectors and then use the 'Join open vectors' tool to obtain a closed vector/object. Recreate your tool path and you should be good to go.

ABSOLUTELY, FANTASTIC!

What a neat idea. Too bad, though, the kids that age only seem to stay that size for about six months!

Were you the one that posted a mid-size cabinet for their daughter(?) on CNCzone a while back?

Very nifty,

Timber, Can you post an example of what you're running into with the text? Maybe a screen shot of what the text is supposed to look like in ACAD and a DXF file that we can import/open with VCarve Pro to see what is happening with it? Anything you can provide that would allow us to help you out may r...

I was able to cut this out and it worked great, thanks for your help. I rearranged it a bit so that I could put a screw in the four corners to secure it down. I'll attach the final crv file I used. I honestly couldn't have done this without this board, I was ready to give up. stew, You're welcome! ...

Timber, What file formats can you export to in ACAD. Can you export the file in either .AI (Adobe Illustrator) or .EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) formats? VCarve Pro can usually open vector based files of both types. If you can export (or print) the file from ACAD into .PDF (Portable Document Format)...

stewbidasso, I couldn't leave well enough alone. Something was still bothering me about the previous solution(s). I can see why this was bothering you so much, stew. Thinking that there must be a better way, I moved everything off of the 'board' and tried again. After several more attempts at horizo...

Here's my solution. It cheats a bit by using a few of the factory cut edges! But it works.

Hmmm, it appears that TOTB beat me to a solution. Way to go mate.

Cheers, all...

Robert, You're not missing something, and you don't necessarily set the text height. The text height is scaled to the box dimensions while taking the 'Margin Size' into consideration. If you want to set the text to a specific height, change the 'Margin Size' to 'None' then set the height of the 'Bou...

Jürgen, It's hard to tell from your pictures but it looks like a coffee table. Actually, in this case it's probably more of a beer holding, alcoholic beverage resting, sit in front of the sofa while watching the big game on television table. Either way, the end result is something both you and your ...

knighttoolworks,

Great tip!

I take it you didn't catch the nested parts tool path discrepancy in the preview. I hope that whatever you cut wasn't too detrimental to your wallet.

Thanks,
