Thank you all for your replies. I'll try them tomorrow.
With my existing tool paths I was having to scrap too many pieces because when they were cut they moved

cutting order
I'm hoping someone can help me out with this. I need to change the cutting order for cutting out these strips. Right now the aspire program cuts the bottom seven strips then moves to the side strips and then the top 23 before moving on to the remainder in the center. I would like to have it do all o...

Box Gadget
I have a customer that has asked me to make some boxes out of 1/2" pvc using tab construction. I've used the box gadget in the past with 3/4" plywood and found that the number that you put in for tolerance really is kind of trial and error. I'm wondering if anyone has used a 1/2" material like pvc (...

Re: Nesting
They are closed I did that by using the join closed vectors/ move end points before attempting to nest.
I went back to it and now it works.
I don't know what changed, it would be nice to know in case it happens again.

Nesting
I have a question about nesting. I've created a simple rectangle with 2 slots on one edge and two holes located in the rectangle. I need to make multiples of this. I've highlighted the entire thing but when I try to nest it all that I get are multiples of the 2 holes. Tried grouping and it didn't ma...

Re: 2 sided carve with clip art.
Thank You! That was the answer.
I should have asked sooner, I spent a lot of time changing pocket depths, model heights and whatever else I thought might make a difference.

Re: 2 sided carve with clip art.
Thanks everyone for your replies. I've tried to take a screen shot of what I'm trying to accomplish, (when I tried to attach the file it was too big). This is to be a mailbox address bar. I have some .75 PVC that I thought I could carve into both sides. I've made a vector boundary around the 3d clip...

2 sided carve with clip art.
I am trying to do a 2 sided carve with clip art on both side 1 and side 2. The clip art would be in a 1/8" pocket v carved in using a 60 Degree, 1/4" end mill and 1/8" end mill. Every time I try to simulate this it shows that the pockets are carved all the way though my board with only the clip art ...

I can't wait ti tell my wife that we threw away $600 in aitfare. Double-check with your airline for refund policy. My wife and I have cancelled two cruises and three airline trip reservations and were able to get full refunds or credit (in one case) from all. Hopefully, you can too! I certainly wil...

Thank You!
Worked great and now I have a little understanding of the moulding tool path.
Much appreciated.

creating a lip
I'm not sure how I should have titled this post. What I would like to do is make a round coaster 4" in diameter and then offsetting in a 1/2" and making a pocket 1/8 deep inside of that. The question is, can I make that 1/2 "lip" rounded in VCarve or is this something that can only be done in Aspire...

Re: Box gadget taBS
Never mind I found it.
I didn't catch it that the box gadget automatically puts these large tabs in and I needed to change edit tabs on my cutout toolpath.
Not sure why it put in such large and thick tabs.
