Trucker,

Quick engrave is designed for a diamond drag tool to etched in metal, glass and other hard surface. try using the tile with the "V" on it.
I make business cards using quick engrave metal with diamond drag.

Your tool screen shot show a "side angle" of 60 degrees. Remember that v-bits (those that come to a point) are entered using the fully included angle of the bit and that engraving bits (those with flats) are entered using one half of the fully included angle—i.e. the "side angle". Martin is correct the best way is the Miter Fold Dado Set Plus. But that's about 350.00 us dollars :(

but it can be done on a well-tuned CNC, I do it all the time. :D

Howdy custom,
If your running 40 IPM your spindle speed should somewhere around 8 thousand to 12 thousand with a sweet spot at ten thousand.
In all years and experience I never used manufacture spec. only used them as a reference.
keep in cherry will burn if hand sand it to hard :D

90 degrees is a shallow inlay 60 degrees is a little deeper inlay a tapered inlay is even deeper depending on the details.

you might have other issue with ram usage? mach4 doesn't need much. Tabs are part of toolpath and place in your choice of position or automatic.
