Here is what I used the Frued 72-400 is a 1/16 TBN. And as I said earlier this one was with tinted epoxy.

I’ll do some digging and see if I can find the settings, on that photo I played with tinting epoxy instead of painting and sanding.

On a 2 sided job the sides are independent of each other, you select and model the top side then switch to the bottom.

Scott, I did cut it in half on the band saw. The first piece that I cut is right about 2”, the remaining is about 2 1/2”. I wanted to carve another owl so I cut another piece of of the “firewood” I did the last owl in. I like the way it turned out. When I zoom in on your original photo the edges are pixelated, they look jagged, the software is probably also picking that up. From my experience you need a really clean high resolution photo for optimal results. And yes Stand alone PhotoVcarve is different, it allows you to use a TBN rather than j...
