Does anyone have a 3D file for a flounder. I have searched everywhere.
Found some here, never used this site before I was just searching.

Re: 2d Deer

Have you upgraded your software lately? Could your post processor have changed ? Have you looked at the gcode and verified it’s directing the Z up/down pecking and it’s not a machine issue. Sorry just throwing ideas out there!

Re: 2d Deer

Okay I must be missing something here, I just looked at your file and the simulation looks good to me, I looked at the nodes in node editing and there are a few spots that could be cleaned up but I have seen a lot worse.
Here is the preview I see.

What am I missing that makes this bad ?

Re: Vcarve 11

Gfera, I don't know what version you are upgrading from but Nextwave updated all their Post processors with either version 10 or 10.5. So I believe it is telling you your post processor is out of date and needs to be updated.

Re: 2d Deer

Can you share the file so others can look at it? First guess would be a lot of extra small vectors from your bit map trace, have you looked at the vectors in node editing?

Re: Artifacts using an offset finishing toolpath....

I only have 2 years experience in this game but I would guess a tramming issue in this area of your machine, it does not show up in the preview so it’s not a software issue.
You could look at the g code and see if it calls for a Z drop at that point and that would confirm machine or model issue.
