Many thanks! Highlighting carvings sounds a bit advanced for me. I only have Cut2D which won't do 3D carving. I will upgrade as funds allow. Not having much luck actually cutting stuff out with the laser, are there any alternative post processors, I am using J_Tec one at the moment...

Erueka! Many thanks, to remove the .txt extension I had to go to control panel/appearance and personalisation/file explorer options/view/advanced settings and uncheck the box that said 'hide extensions for known file types. .txt now removed leaving just .pp. All is now working as it should and I hav...

I think that "txt" in the picture is actually the line to set the extension on the toolpath output. For my little hobby system I use the "Intelicam GCode ..." post processor. I made a copy of that, and then edited it. 1) behind "Post Name" edit the label in quotes to a name you want to see in the l...

No luck, I changed file extension to 'PP' to no effect. I will try second solution tomorrow, but it looks a bit beyond my capabilities. Here is a screenshot of the p processor file...

Hi, I have just installed Cut2D on my laptop and the interface seems incomplete, I have tried twice with the same result. text and numbers are not present in the material set up dialog.....

Hi, I am a bit stuck, I have downloaded the J_tec laser post processors, mm and inch. I have forund the application data folder and the post processor folder but the file extension is .txt and needs to be .pp. I did find a topic on this forum but didn't quite understand it, I do not have Visual plus...

Hi, I am having trouble starting a job. After setting work zero I am getting 'outside machine limits' error. Work area is X 325mm, Y 525mm and Z 57mm. The workpiece is X 238mm, Y 480mm and Z 21mm . Trouble setting tool pass depth

Hi, I am trying to set a pocket tool path to cut some numbers to a depth of 3 mm using a 1/8 ball nose endmill, but I cannot set the path depth, when I tryi in the tool edit box, I enter the number of passes, but they don't show on the main pocket screen. If I click 'calculate' I get the following.....
