Re: Importing file formats

Thanks very much for that information Michael, that worked perfectly, and I can't thank you enough for that tip.

Importing file formats

I have been making a sign for a grocery store in town where I live. It involves importing a lot of clipart off of the internet. I have no problem importing JPG, JPEG files, but for some reason a lot of the clipart that I want to import is in a JFIF file format and my computer will not import it into...

Printing off of V-carve Pro

I have searched YouTube for information about this but have had no luck. Is there a simple and easy way to draw something in V-carve, and print it out in such a way to fill an 8-1/2 X 11 sheet of printer paper? A lot of the time it is handy for me to take a drawing of what I have created in V-carve ...

Printing Toolpaths

There are times that I wish I could print a project on 8.5 X 11 printer paper, and take it out to the shop with me. I can use the print option in V-carve to print a project, but it comes out so small you can hardly see it. Is there a way to print a project from V-carve, and size it to almost fill a ...

Re: Vcarve Pro Gadgets

Well, that's what I thought adze. But when the parts were finished there was at least a quarter inch difference between the parts. Way, way more than 10/000". I guess I'll try it again when I get some more plywood, only next time I will make a much, much smaller box to start with just in case. My bu...

Re: Vcarve Pro Gadgets

OK, now could somebody please tell me what to put into the "Box Creator" gadget where is asks for a "Tolerance" setting? If left at zero, you can't get the parts together with a hammer. I tried 0.005" (5 thousandths) and they were so loose using 1/2" plywood, you couldn't even glue them together. I ...

Re: Vcarve Pro Gadgets

I didn't mention this in my first post, but my VcarvePro is version 9.5 Not sure what is going on but after the third try, it put the tabs in the toolpaths?? Don't understand that, but it seems to be working alright now. One thing I have noticed that I don't really care for is the location of the ta...

Vcarve Pro Gadgets

I'm trying to make a box using the "Box Creator" gadget. The dimensions for my box is 20" in width, 12" in depth and 6" in height. My problem is that the program will not put the tabs in the toolpath. When I create a much smaller box, for example, 6" in width, 4" in depth and 4" in height, the progr...

Vectric 8.5

I've been emailing back and forth with Vectric support but am not having much luck. I've been wanting to make some wooden boxes in my woodworking shop. I happened across a video on YouTube a couple of days ago of a guy making boxes using a Gadget. I thought to myself wow, this is just the ticket. So...
