Re: Pikler Triangle (Climbing frame)

What a good idea a skill builder for toddlers, I had a chuckle when you said its not really a CNC project because I use mine for nearly all wood projects because I don't have the most accurate pencils these days . The resin inlay looks great, I am sure your grandson will be very happy to use the fra...

A small Pendant ring box

I saw a youtube video where a guy hand carved a lovely wooden pendant and enclosed an engagement ring inside before he glued it up. His future wife wore that pendant for months before he chose the right time to propose and he broke the pendant open. I thought it was a shame he had to break it so I m...

Re: Got to use the Thread Mill

The lamp project is very cool Todd but it would probably be a bit ambitious of me to tackle that until I get some more practice so I have downloaded the file. Thanks for sharing that project. I am sure it would have taken quite a bit of time to work it out.

Re: Got to use the Thread Mill

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, I think I was stunned when the threaded parts screwed together so well. I was asked today if the threaded wood may become unusable after a period of time which I couldn't answer but I am guessing that if I use seasoned timber like Rock Maple and Walnut then I w...

Got to use the Thread Mill

Ever since the upgrade to version 10.5 I have been very keen to try the single thread mill and I ended up buying one for a 6mm pitch. I wasn't sure if it was the correct choice when it arrived because it looked too small but it turned out fine for a small ring box. Insert is Corian, main body is Roc...
