Re: Segmented Rotary Axis Work
Ted, Thank you! Download straight into "Ted's Awesome Files" file! It's becoming a sizeable file, and I truly hope to get a few projects across the CNC bed this summer! I have played with the shapes and lines - I could do lots & lots of different projects from just those two files. Thank you again -...

Here's a hack for the Firefox browser if you don't like the gray borders. There's an addon for Firefox called "Fixed Zoom" it will allow you to set the zoom factor for individual websites you frequent. Here's an example of the Vectric Forum website on my laptop in 100% zoom and then 130% zoom. With...

Re: Dust Management
Great project - watching with interest!
Just a thought on your pipe diagram. Ideally the Router table, Jointer, CNC, and lathe should all have their own port from the main trunk line.
Sanders and saws should be fine "ganged up" on a branch since they produce mostly fine dust.
Again, just a thought.

Scott, I really enjoy seeing your projects and and "project progress" pictures. This project looks absolutely spectacular! It's wonderful to have a true artist / craftsman share their strategies and thought process for working out the fine details of a project. - Thank you! But I have to say I enjoy...

Re: Back in the shop
Jim, Congrats & welcome back to the shop! Thank you for the gadgets on your way back to the shop. I have a flag or two on my "things to do list". That's one of the HDPE Sam's cutting boards. It's 1/2 x 15 x 20 for ABOUT $9.00. I have used the one from Sams for a couple different projects, and some W...

Re: Roughout for Hand Carving
Ted, isn't that cheating ... CNC guys will say you are cheating by hand carving and the hand carving guys will say you are cheating by using the CNC - LOL Brilliant idea - actually that is probably a very equitable Etsy kinda project for someone looking for an Etsy kinda project. Your tool holder de...
