Re: cnc and laser

Hi Martin,

The mask I use is supplied by Trotec and is designed for safe laser use.
I find it very good even paint filling after engraving a bit like oramask with my cnc.

Re: cnc and laser

The photograph is glued onto ply before cutting. Ron, what laser did you use? Did you have any burning problems on the photo paper? I'm assuming you just cut the puzzle pattern for visual effect. Looks interesting! It will be a jigsaw puzzle for my 4YO grandson... will print an image of spiderman f...

Re: cnc and laser

Hi Tex, My laser is a Trotec 80 watt CO2 this was cut using a 2inch lens, have just purchased a 1.5 inch and will try this next. The photo is printed on photo paper A3 size and glued onto 3mm ply and is covered with a medium tack mask and this stops any burning or smoke problems on the cut pieces. S...

Re: 3D Models in Epoxy or walnut

I did an experiment with inlayed resin and then 3D carved an animal into it, it worked ok carved well with great detail, went back to contrasting timbers as it just looks right. Still have it somewhere in my test pile.

Re: Vectric InLay

Thank you Martin

As the inlay will be in a tray and not subjected to the elements or rough handling, I shall use the tape method,

Appreciate your advice as always.

Regards,

Re: Aspire v11

There is currently an issue with v11 in that it's not always showing clipart that is stored in the cloud as previous versions did. Are you sure the clipart is installed locally as it should be displaying correctly in the Clipart tab if you have the folder links there still? You can verify what clip...

Have updated to v11 and my DM models did not transfer from 10.5 all the clip art is there, I have an extensive collection of models.

Re: Aspire V11 is OUT NOW!

Question: can I move all the clipart from the v10.5 directory to the new directory for v 11? Clipart is installed in a central location that is available to all Vectric software on your computer. It's not installed in a version specific location. The default install location is: "C:\Users\Public\Do...
