Re: V12 for Mac Silicon, please?
The subscription model has essentially nothing to do with the cross platform apps themselves, that's just a business model that these companies have chosen I don't recall intimating that the two were linked because they are not. And I do agree that it's just a different business model. The other gu...

Re: V12 for Mac Silicon, please?
That said, we have been working behind the scenes on each release to move us closer to the goal of complete independence from Microsoft Windows in the future. You will shortly see that version 12 takes a huge step forward in our user-interface (UI) design and implementation - none of this new UI in...

Re: V12 for Mac Silicon, please?
But Vectric apps are not the only ones that Mac'ers have asked for, eventually all Microsoft apps went to browser based "subscription" offerings, as did Adobe, and a few other cad/cam solutions (that get removed when mentioned on this platform). All of these can only be accessed by subscription. Th...

Re: V12 for Mac Silicon, please?
Bob, If your network is fast enough have you considered RDP into your PC and work from the comfort of your office? Neil It's a standard 1 GB network, so it's a thought. Thanks for the idea, might solve some of the emulation delays, would have to find out if it actually improved the overall workflow...

Re: V12 for Mac Silicon, please?
I've never seen the need for the decision of MacOS OR Windows. In 2009, I found great personal advantage in having MacOS in my system, but I didn't get rid of my PCs where I was programming odd jobs for customers. PCs for Vectric software are cheap with high enough performance to make them ubiquito...

V12 for Mac Silicon, please?
I know this is dreaming, but I would sure like to be able to use Aspire on my Mac without Parallels, It really slows things down and adds a layer of complexity to everything. Not goig to hold my breath, but thought I'd put it out there! Even if it's not in V12 first day erelease, it would be nice to...

Re: Mixing reference systems in one file
Ah, yeah, I see it now. Thanks. Yes, I get that it can cause a lot of problems if messed up, but will be easier to keep track of than two separate files

Mixing reference systems in one file
I know the answer to this is probably no, but is there any way in Aspire 11.5 to mix reference modes between material surface and machine bed. For the parts I make it would be convenient to do some processes based on the bed, while others are best accomplished from material surface/ I now I can use ...

Re: File name question
Because I don't want to see it. I keep my files, per part, in their own separate folders, numbered in sequence of execution. Dumping text in front of that is annoying and unneeded. I don't care what my control software sees, I care what I see. So, the actual answer is no? There's no checkbox to disa...

File name question
In Aspire 11.5, Is there a way to not include the sheet name in the file name when saving toolpaths? There are times where it's useful, but most of the time I don't use that, and I just don't like having to delete the leading sheet title part from the actual .tap filename?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Question about layers and sheets
Happy to report that after my request, Vectric has added this feature as an option to their development queue. Good to hear that. I am certain it will be a useful addition. Keep in mind that they just released 11.5 so it will be some time before we see 12.0 released I'm sure it will be awhile, but ...
