Re: Guitar neck

Thanks Scott for the confirmation. I know it can be done in other packages that can handle complex surfaces and I am keeping my fingers crossed that one of the future enhancements to Aspire will allow us to do this. In the meantime I will use my Foredom tool to. Look forward to seeing pictures of yo...

Re: Guitar neck

Thanks, that is pretty much what I have done with the exception of any sculpting. I guess I was wondering whether there was a way to obtain a smoother flow between the merge of the neck, headstock and heel without sculpting, but I guess not.

Thanks for the help

Guitar neck

I have recently started to learn guitar which of course has made me interested in trying to build my own electric guitars using Aspire which I just received and using my Joe's '06 CNC router that I built a while back (will be replaced by Joe's 4x4 hybrid once I build it). I am starting with a Teleca...

OS X, Parralells and Windows 7

Well good news, Aspire seems to run very well on my Intel iMac running Parralells desktop and Windows 7 beta.

My original point was that I wanted to be able to use something like VTurn Pro on my CNC Lathe, not a 4th axis on my mill, but good ideas anyway.

I just love being able to draw my part in VCarve and not having to worry about G-Code, I would love to be able to do the same for my CNC Sherline lathe.

Keeping my figures crossed

VTurn Pro

I love VCarve and us it for all my CNC work.

What I miss is a similar simple to use program for my CNC lathe and would love to see a version of VCarve for lathe work - VTurn Pro - any chance of this happening?

Thanks

CAD/CAM

I find myself using v-carve for all my basic CAD/CAM requirements because it is so intuitive and easy to use. So the question is will Vectric be adding to the CAD/CAM capabilities of v-carve or maybe bring out a specific CAD/CAM product using the same approach as v-carve and cut3d (I own both)? It s...

Paper plans to CNC

I have a set of paper plans that I want to transfer to CAD (vcarve) and I am not a CAD "expert".

What is the best way of making the transfer?

Thanks

Enhancement suggestion

I think it would save a lot of time if from within Cut3D you could add registration holes of a specific size and also place them on the material by point and click. Then have Cut3D cut the holes as the first process to aid in multi-sided cutting.

Thanks
