Re: EVA Foam Seadeck Settings
My experience with their machine was enough not to buy another also. Mine was an accuracy issue, support finally said that the inaccuracy was within their tolerance. I had to fix the issue without their support. Their accuracy is movement without cutting anything.

Re: Exlude vector section from pocket toolpath
Choose layer number 3. Turn the light bulbs off for the other layers, layers 2 and 3 both have 2 zero span lengths. Choose all of the vectors. Use the icons on the left choose the curve fit option, and use .001 as a tolerance, this is the easiest way to fix the problem for this drawing. Your gap in ...

Re: Exlude vector section from pocket toolpath
Make a new layer and move everything that you want to keep to that layer. If that works delete the layer that has the lines you do not want.

What is your controller software?
It looks like it is not smoothing your toolpath.

Your left side looks proportionally smaller than your right. Check for movement on you Y axis. If you have a dial indicator set it up on the side and pull your router left and right.

Try cutting one dish with 1/2 of your speed and see if it is not bit vibration. Cutting .338 deep at 250 in per minute might cause it. then adjust for faster if you need to.

Re: Yesterdays project. Still learning about proper tool selection.
The marks in the pocket area look likes your wood was flexing, due to the wood needing better hold down. Holding just the edges, it can flex in the middle. Try doing half with a longer hold down towards the middle, then do the other half with a longer hold down towards the middle carved area.

Re: Stepper vs Servo
I personally prefer servos. You do not lose steps from pushing your machine to its limits. Every once in a while you just might. Servos cost more to buy, replace, and maintain, over the life of the machine, I have some machines 23 years old and no problems yet. You are buying new, so you do not have...

Re: Plasma Cutting Module
Depending on the size of the preview you want you might have to use a 1/8 endmill or even larger to have vectric remove the cut portions of the preview. You will have to adjust as necessary to be able to view. You can adjust the scale smaller sometimes if it is a complicated design.

Re: Plasma Cutting Module
list it as an Endmill Plasma .040 dia, or whatever the cut size of your plasma width for that cutting tip and amperage., Since Vectric is a pixel based program, you will not be able to see your cut on a larger piece that is cut because the line is too small. You will have to shrink the size of the p...

I usually copy the tool path, copy the vectors to a new layer, select all or the ones I want, shift H or shift V, recalculate copied tool path.

Re: Aspire and Mach4
MACH 3 has been fine for me I have different kind of machines running it, my suggestion is to run an ethernet controller instead of a USB or parallel port. Speeds things up and runs smoother. Most problems with MACH 3 were window settings.
