the only bits I have are solid carbide end mills 2 flute up cut and tapered ballnose for wood don't know if there is a difference for metal but I will do the research on this Thanks Jeff

Made this for my nephew. walnut, natural stain, lacquer, 1/16" bn 6hrs 40 min on lid 11 3/4" x 8 1/4" x 3 1/4" had a small knot at bottom of v. I did a bad job fixing it trying to rush for xmas gift -Jeff

I see some people have made an enclosure for dust control and probably noise control also. I am cutting some models out of pine and I am getting tooling lines down the middle and then y off towards the corners this must be where the machine changes direction in X and Y. ok I just changed the machining allowance to.05 it reduced it to 1 hr 27 min I will keep playing till I can get max of what I think is safe for my machine -Jeff

I set up my model to start the cut at -.0001 but when the machine starts the cut its at -3/16" I am not seeing what it is that I am doing wrong. this usually is no problem -Jeff
