Two pieces of plywood for one circle
I want to cut one circle that takes two pieces of plywood. My machine is not big enough to cut both pieces in one cut. So I'm going to start in the bottom left of piece #1 of plywood. When that one is done, how do I set up piece #2? Is there a setting in VCarve Pro to do this?

Re: carving problems
Just steer me in the right direction to do the 3d relief carving. I tried to message Michael Mizalick but it says I'm not able to send messages at this time. I was going to watch the video on George Washington. Thanks again for the help.

Where is the PDF located?dwilli9013 wrote:+1 on M Tylers information. Michael Mezalick also offers a very informative pdf on modeling a Santa in Aspire. It is very thorough and explains the underlying techniques when modeling.

Re: carving problems
Sounds like your are importing a photo and making a model component from it. If so, the issue of darker areas (shadows in the photo) carving too deep is common. Yes I think they call it a relief carvingAdrian wrote:What type of toolpath is it you're doing?
I'm guessing it's a v-carve in which case you can invert which way a section cuts by adding a vector around or removing a surrounding vector.
