Re: Hole sizes are too big after using "offset vectors" tool
Good morning, It may have all been a coincidence. When I ran another similar file last night, I really slowed the feed rate down so that when the bit made the circles to cut the hole (to steps per hole) the machine didn't jerk as much as before. The holes came out better. Its a chain drive and I thin...

Re: Hole sizes are too big after using "offset vectors" tool

Re: Hole sizes are too big after using "offset vectors" tool
Thats the big mystery. We are not using the offset anymore. Just the one time. and yet the holes are too big by .03.

Re: Hole sizes are too big after using "offset vectors" tool
We don't have the "after" files anymore. We deleted everything to get any issues out of the way. We started fresh with the AI file and its still doing the enlarged hole even though we aren't using the offset anymore. We only tried that the one time to make the holes bigger but they were .03 too big ...

Re: Hole sizes are too big after using "offset vectors" tool
When we cut the holes at 0.43, they came out correctly. But after using the offset tool, they are to big for 0.44. It may just be a coincidence but I need to get it figured out.

Re: Hole sizes are too big after using "offset vectors" tool
I'm not sure what to attach as a file. please let me know if it should be something different. The holes are at 0.44 but are ending up 0.47. I deleted all the earlier versions of the file and started over from the Illustrator original. I just ran another test to be sure its still wrong and it is sti...

Re: Hole sizes are too big after using "offset vectors" tool
We've accounted for the bit (measured it) and the holes were the correct sizes before we used the Offset Tool. It sure seems to us like a result of using that as the larger size is the size we used it to adjust to.

Hole sizes are too big after using "offset vectors" tool
Hi, We used the "offset vectors" tool to increase the size of some holes yesterday and now we can get the holes to be the original size. I can't figure out if the offset vector tool is somehow still active or what? We deleted the first set of files and started over. The holes in the VCArve set up ar...

Y Axis not coding correctly. Its reversed.
Greetings All, We use VCarve and Mach 4 and after a M4 reload and switching to an Ethernet smooth stepper, our Y axis code is sudden reversed. Thus, when we start a file to cut it on the cnc router, the Y axis goes positive instead of negative and crashes into the home position. All the settings app...
