Re: PDF Import Layer support
Wait for it,... :) SVG seems to work! Never tried that one before. All the layers on the Aspire import have the correct name and the curves are true bezier with the original nodes respected 100%! Going to to do some further testing. Just one issue left where 6 object don't make it across in their pr...

Re: pdf import with layers
Adrian, I tried them all, none of the vector exports from corel gets me curves in Aspire. Only pdf and the special tool dxf-pro make it through as real curves. However the dxf-pro tool is no longer upgraded past Corel 16 and pdf doesn't import the name of original layers. Did talk to Corel today and...

Re: PDF Import Layer support
Thanks for all the answers, I know I'm just being difficult :) Let me explain :) :) I do much more with Corel than just make cabinets. We have an ongoing production of wooden caskets. I use a Corel design on 36 defined layers on a half sheet of mdf like this: 12mm Casket toolpaths v14.5.jpg In this ...

pdf import with layers
Did anyone figure out how to import a pdf file with layers and keep these as individual layers in Aspire with their same original layer names?
For now pdf import as vectors works great but all the data ends up on the same layer called pdf_import.
Perhaps a gadget?
Thanks!! Stefan

Re: PDF Import Layer support
Just found that if I export DXF from Corel-native and re-import it, the curves are respected! Yet if I import in Aspire, the curves are changed to lots of nodes, Now if I export DXF from Corel-DXF pro export add-on, the curves are respected and Aspire imports the right curves and layers. Tried all 1...

Re: PDF Import Layer support
Doing the original work in aspire,.... Guess I'm too used to Corel since version 3 :) Do all parts layout for cabinet manufacturing, also use a few gadgets to create toolpaths while importing, not creating layers I don't need. Don't know if all of that works straight out of Aspire,... I create my wo...

Re: PDF Import Layer support
Anyone ever found a solution for this? Problem remains.... bad vector to dxf export in corel. Dxf tool only supported up to corel 16. Pdf layer support good option in corel, but layers are lost in Aspire. Now, after 25 years of buying corel upgrades, corel 16 tells me I'm using an unregistered versi...

Re: FlutePlus? Aspire cutting along a Z-vector
Yes Indeed!
Got it to work downloading it with a different browser.
Still works with Aspire 9.5.
Now lets see if it will do the trick.
Thanks!

Re: FlutePlus? Aspire cutting along a Z-vector
I did message Paul. For the Fluted Toolpath I would need to project the toolpath on the actual shape, which I do have as a vector (in coreldraw) but not as a 3d STL model (Still trying to get a go at other software). I will try again to download the file using a different browser. Thanks for the adv...

FlutePlus? Aspire cutting along a Z-vector
Downloaded FlutePlus (20140322) gadget and tried running it in VCP 8 & 9 and Aspire 9 and 9.5. I'm always getting a Script does not start with "--VECTRIC LUA SCRIPT" Any solution for that? Any other way to create movement along a x-y path by a vector z-reference? The new "Turn and Spin" option seems...

PDF Import Layer support
When importing a PDF file I'm happy with the preservation of nodes, but I loose my layers, it all becomes one "import layer". As you can see when opening the file attached in a PDF viewer, the layers are there. No longer so after import in Aspire. Once in aspire I apply a saved toolpath template tha...

Re: 2 rail sweep; smooth transition between cross sections?
I think I did it.
Double sweep on the short sides defining the V at the low end, with a defined contour for each of the long ones. They it's up to Aspire to connect the dots all around the perimeter, no flattening out
thanks for the inspiration!
