Re: small swing top boxes
They look great! I like the way the fairy looks with the mica powder and epoxy.

Re: Melamine
The settings I used is about 14% line spacing, this varies based on size or level of detail I want, and I usually use a .125 ball nose. Sometimes I cut at a .05 or .03 depth, this also depends on the picture. After it's cut I cover it in paint and then sand off the top until I get the desired shadin...

Re: Does this happen often?
If you haven't I'd still check the firmware versions and update them if there are newer ones. It fixed a few problems I had on the Shark HD and the PiranhaX has some of the same parts, the pendant is the same anyway. I have holes in my table bed from it just stopping mid toolpath and driving straigh...

Re: PhotoVCarve problem
For the new toolpathing harder wood will probably give better results. I tried a picture in pine and it came out ok but I screwed up the finish on it. 15671.jpeg I did the same picture in PVC a while back but with different settings that aren't currently available in the new integrated toolpathing. ...

Re: DOES THIS HAPPEN OFTN?
I had odd cuts like that before and it ended up being my control box and pendant didn't have the latest updates. It's worth checking either way.

Thank you Mohamed, that will be very much appreciated. Is there any chance of being able to use ballnose as well as vbits?

Sorry I meant the line spacing to go below 100%...Jhodge76 wrote:If the line density is increased and ballnose bits are an option then you could create lithophanes in V10, and with the vector toolpath option there could be ripple effects in them and text boxes like in the video she did with the wood.

Re: Lithophane creation
This is why I asked in a different thread if Vectric had planned updates for the new toolpathing. Based on a video they posted I was under the impression that PVC was fully integrated into Vcarve10.
