Re: Bookpile Box Michael Tyler
Tagguy, Michael, excellent work on your Bookpile. I finally got one made last Fall. I know your wife loved yours. I agree, Michael Tyler is a genius in my eyes and I always look forward to seeing what his latest creation is, even if it takes me months or years to finally get around to trying one aft...

Re: surfacing to a given thicknes
Looks like you have figured out what you needed and I couldn’t have helped with that anyway .
However, I did want to offer my condolences to you for the loss of your wife.

Re: How to cut this
As a scroller, this is indeed originally a scroll saw pattern and fairly easily cut by an experienced scroller. It would be cut much faster and easier on the scroll saw then setting it up to try and do with my cnc. Thr small lines at the eye pointed out are called “veining” lines that you do cut wit...

Re: Another Bookpile
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I wanted to post mainly to show Michael because I appreciate all his time and effort he puts into the files he creates and then are provided to us to try for free. I think it’s important that he sees his files are in fact being used even a couple years...

Another Bookpile
I wanted to say thank you to Michael Tyler for his Bookpile project from the Dec. 2020 newsletter. https://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=36385 I finally got around to trying it, I hadn’t used the CNC for awhile and I had a few hiccups (the spines popped loose and didn’t finish quite right o...

Re: Adjustable Standing Desk
Thanks for that. I had been able to access it through my Vectric account but didn’t want to post a direct link to it from there as I have seen on occasions in the past that with some sites, the link showed through the person’s account. Since I wasn’t sure if it would or not, and didn’t have time to ...

Re: Lost
Hi Emma and welcome. I’m still a relative newbie with my machine. I remember the frustration when I first got our machine. Just take it a step at a time, and walk away and relax when you get frustrated and come back another day. I did lots of research and reading and reading some more. You are tryin...

Re: Christmas Gift to Daughter
Thank you for showing. I’ve been doing some 5Ks this past year (walker, not a runner) and been looking for ideas for hanging my medals. Trying to decide if I want one for multiple races, or smaller for each one I do, I have purchased the 191 Hack of the week as it several of these models. I hope min...

Re: Marathon medal display
Thank you for sharing. I have completed a couple 5Ks this past year, and have registered for a 5K and a 10K so far this year. So I’ve been looking for ideas for something to hang my 🏅 medals on. Hopefully I will get to something sooner then later. 😉I have purchased the 191 Hack of the week to perhap...

Re: Diamond Bow Tie Model
This is original thread Ted shared a “bow tie” model he crafted and shared that he references above. https://forum.vectric.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=39179 Just because I know threads get “lost” overtime, I wanted to add a link back to Ted’s other new thread. This way, months or years from now, one ca...

...... A bow tie that I wear for choral concerts (when we don't go open necked) is this diamond point one: https://knotheory.com/products/black-white-diamond-point albeit in all black. That might be a challenge for your modelling skills... Steven I had not seen that style of tie. I am thinking I wi...

Those look great and I am sure your daughter was thrilled with them. I know a few Harry Potter fans who I am sure would think they were awesome.
