Help Fairy door
You'll probably guess i'm a bit new to this. I took inspiration from a Birdhouse project uploaded to this site. I'm having difficulty milling the very simple 3D model. The issue I have is that the machine bit plunges down nearly cutting through the 1/2 in piece of plywood I'm trying to carve. I am u...

Re: Box Gadget RunTime error
Did you define a tool? No, I created a new job and run the gadget. I didn't see anywhere to define a tool? Define Tool.jpg Yes I get that but that dialogue box never appeared. Problem solved now anyway. Adrian pointed out that I was loading a gadget that was not compliant with Ver 10! Thanks!

Re: resizing free projects
Thanks Adrian, is it possible to reduce the size of a vector and at the same time reduce the toolpath or is it just a case of re running the toolpaths each time.

resizing free projects
okay my thought process is this. As a hobbyist and a bit of a newbie I thought I'd purchase VCarve desktop for 2 reasons, 1. my machine a Shapeoko XL will only cut to a maximum of 30" by 16" and I never thought I'd require anything above the 24x24 that the software offers and 2. I would never need t...

Re: Aspire ver 11
From the Vectric website: Free Minor Upgrades Any major version of the software released within 12 months of you purchasing the software is supplied free of charge and available from your V&Co account. Minor updates are always free to anyone who has the same major version (e.g V10.5 would be free t...

Just a quickie. I currently have VCarve desktop and want to upgrade to Aspire. I am guessing that version 11 will be here in the next couple of months. if I were to purchase 10.5 now would I get an upgrade to version 11 or would I have to purchase the upgrade?

Re: Stepover calculation
You might check the vector you are using to create the form tool. There looks to be some odd artifact at the very tip. Perhaps the vector doubles back on itself and that is confusing VCarve? Thanks for that it. it was Adrian's instruction that was the reason it was not working. Once I resized the t...
