Re: Hearts

Hello,
I am trying to figure out how you did this. I would like to apply the principles to another project of mine:-) Did you glue a sheet of pine on top of the walnut and then carve away the pine?

Any support with this is greatly appreciated by my wife.

Re: Routed Jewelry Box

HI,
Thanks so much for responding to my post. But it appears to be in a hire version that I have. I am on version 9. Can you resend/repost it in version 9? Or can it be .dxf file?

Re: Routed Jewelry Box

HI,
I am LATE to this game, but I love the box. How do you design and apply a back to the box? I am sure I am missing something that has been mentioned, but I wanted to ask anyway:-)

Re: Routed Jewelry Box

HI all,
I REALLY love this project. One thing I don't understand is how the back of the box is in place. I know it's something stupid I am missing but could someone explain that to me?

Re: Tambour Box

Hello,
I am attempting my tambour box. I have a dumb question however. How do you determine how wide the tambour lid should be? Is there a formula for the gap needed from side to side?

thanks for your guidance.

Seeking wedding bells .stl or 3d

HI Everyone,
ONe of my daughters is getting married and I would like to make her a box with raised wedding bells on it. Does anyone have such a file? I would be willing to pay for it. I looked on Design and Make and had no luck there.

Thanks.

Re: Making a circle into a cove---HELP Please

HI mtylerfl,
Thanks for the link. But the video is for Aspire and I have Vcarve. I will ask for Aspire for Christmas. I'm sure the first thing my wife will ask if what can I do with it for the price being so high:-)

Re: Making a circle into a cove---HELP Please

I just completed running the 3d part as suggested. By it looks okay on the screen. Is there a way to get rid of the rough rim at the top of the dome seen below? Or do I just need to plan on sanding it?

Re: Making a circle into a cove---HELP Please

All,
So I chose to use the 3d clipart path. What else do I need to configure?

Also, do I use a roughing path, then a smoothing path like I would for other 3D items?

Re: Making a circle into a cove---HELP Please

HI everyone. Thank you so much for all of the assistance but I'm afraid I am still a little lost. I don't have a large Fluting bit so that is out:-) dealguy11 and IslaWW your ideas look very do-able to me. Can you walk me through each step please? I have only had Vcarve for about 6-months and I have...
